I wasnt sure whether to post this in off topic or here, but considering he has 4 games on the famicom I decided to post it here. Does anyone else love this series? This is my favorite game series of all time

I loved looking at Mystical Ninja back in the day. But do these games need any translation?

There's two games in his series that do. Ganbare Goemon Gaiden and Ganbare Goemon Gaiden 2 both need to be translated, they are RPG's. The rest of the 27 games in the series are either really easy to figure out (USE THE GODAMN WALKTHROUGHS!) or are available in english (only 4 of them)

Well, for the famicom games (note, not the RPGS)  there really isnt a huge plotline. They are sidescrollers. Goemon is based off of Ishikawa Goemon who was a real person, a noble thief like robin hood who lived in japan a long time ago. An iron pot in japan is known as a goemon-buro because goemon was boiled alive by the emporor of japan
