Hello Famicom World. I've been a gamer for the past 25 years, and recently had the urge to get into the FDS stuff. I once picked up a Twin Famicom, but it wouldn't read disks. I opened up the console and the rubber belt was all melted. I only owned one disk game at the time (Bubble Bubble that came in some super cool clear pencil pouch with a giant manual), so I didn't sweat it that I couldn't play disk games.
I later sold the Twin Famicom and upgraded to a Sharp Titler with S-Video out . The video output quality was AMAZING. After a few years I ended up selling it to a friend and now regret it. What I would like to know is if it is possible to hook up a disk drive to a Titler? I think I'd much rather go that route than to buy another Twin or standard Fami.

Thanks in advance! :D

As long as you can put the RAM adapter into the cartridge slot it should work. Looking at some pictures of a Famicom Titler (I don't own one myself) I'm guessing it should fit. It looks like there are a few buttons that would come pretty close to the adapter, but I think it'll fit, but only just. I can't promise anything, though! :-[

Wow... To actually own a Famicom Titler... I'd love to even see one with my own eyes! :'(

Thanks so much, that info is very helpful!

So lets say in the worse case scenario that the RAM cart doesn't fit, can I use a Famicom to NES adaptor plugged into an NES to famicom adaptor to make up for it?

Yeah, it should work with two adapters like that. It might be a bit wobbly, but I suppose you could fix that by supporting it with empty toilet paper rolls or something (MacGyver-stile)! ;)

Lol. Back when I had my Titler I had to tape a piece of cardboard on the front of my Famicom to NES adaptor to keep it sturdy, otherwise if the weight from the NES cart caused the adaptor to tip forward in the cartridge slot the games would sometimes reset! ^^
