Clones from 87 are easier to find than clones from 2000+?  That's pretty nuts.

Oh I get wrong your question, I tought you say it's more easier to find an AV TRUE FAMICOM than Clones from 1987. Here clones from the 80's are out target in consoles, I search for those 'cause TRUE Famicom never was released here. New Clones (NOAC etc) , we're full of those. Sorry if I get wrong the question.

The NEX is overpriced for what it is I have one. It doesn't work with Castlevania 3 (like most clones) and the controller sucks. It works with every Famicom game I have though. The Yobo is in fact worth buying if you want a small, cheap Famicom. Its a clone but a good one. An AV modded Famicom is workable if you can stand the 3' cords and the AV Famicom is your best bet if you don't mind spending a lot more. In the end, it comes down to what you want to spend. Here's a little chart of average costs

Yobo FC Game Console: $~30 + shipping
AV Modded Famicom: $~40 + shipping
NEX:    $~60 + shipping
AV Famicom ~60-120 + shipping

Try to look for sellers who are selling the best deals. I was able to find an AV Famicom with 31 Famico games for $60.

ha ha well you'd be surprised how many people simply buy the first thing that comes up on ebay.

Actually, knowing the amount of stupid eBay purchases my friends and family have made, I probably wouldn't be too surprised at all. It's what the Internet is for, I think.
