I completely failed at trying to keep the title short... oh well.

How many games are out there that require entering a code or solving a puzzle that involves looking up information in the manual, or how many games require a piece of hardware unique to the game itself?

I thought this would be fun. So here's what I've got:

NES:

StarTropics [instruction booklet]
X-Men [fully intact front label]

Okay, I know I know some more examples. :(

Only games I could think of at the moment:
Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake - Requires the manual to solve a certain puzzle and proceed in the game.
Metal Gear Solid - Requires the manual or CD-case to solve a certain puzzle and proceed in the game.

There should be lots of games that requires extra hardware too. Where does the line go? For example Donkey Konga doesn't require the bongo drums but is more fun with them, and Street Fighter II PC Engine version doesn't strictly require a 6-button controller technically speaking but yeah.

Mario Paint - requires a mouse to play at all (later download versions of the game could be played with a controller).
