Slowly, when I can find them, I've been collecting different versions of the original NES Legend Of Zelda game. I have the gold cart, a Game Boy Advanced cart, and a Game Cube 'best of' disk that collects up to Majora's Mask. I have the grey cart, the original Famicom Disk, and the Famicom cart versions bookmarked. I'm not getting the Japanese GBA cart yet, because I have it in English. Are there any versions, cart or otherwise,  in other languages out there? I figure there's a British Pal cart, but are there any out there I need to be looking for?

Let's see....

Famicom Disk System
Famicom Cart
NES Gold
NES Gray
GBA NES Classics
GameCube Zelda Collector Disc Preorder Bonus
Wii Virtual Console digital release (slightly modified NES version)

That about it, unless you're looking for region specific variants, in which case there is a PAL A and PAL B version, a Hong Kong version, and the mainlang China release under the title Dong Fang de Chuan Shuo, which likely translates to the original Japanese name, The Hyrule Fantasy.

Short answer - plenty. Include hacks and translations and...

P.S. dude, whats the story about patches for your lovely CX-whatever multicart? Or you don't want it anymore?
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Don't forget about the hidden NES Zelda game in Animal Crossing for Gamecube only available via AR hacking!

There were the Satellaview games, though maybe those don't count, and there was also a variant FDS version made to advertise a brand of noodles, Teikyou Charumera, but I don't know if it was just a repackage or if the game differed in any way.

wow, I didn't know that! It must not be dumped - I've never seen the rom.

Oh Tricky are you referring to BS Zelda, the one that was released on the Satellaview/SFC?  I have a link to the homepage if anybody is interested learning more about it: http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/bszelda.shtml

RainLink's link has the rom. It is definitely worth checking out, as this is one beautiful game.
