My famicom, I've used forever. Very recently, the video would not show up anymore. Just a monochrome screen. Since it was no longer working, I tried cleaning the cartridge holder with rubbbing alcohol on a cotton swab. I tried to not use too much rubbing alcohol. The cartridge slot was very dirty. None of the games still worked after that. Then I tried cleaning out dust on the inside of the famicom. This was not helpful as I seem to have stretched the wires of the video card too far out.

So, a few of the colored wires came off from the video card. do you think this is bad, or can they just be "connected" back? Was my famicom done for anyway? I think it's been about 10 years.

The wires that came loose need to be reconnected, if they broke off you need to use wire cutters to expose more wire on the broken-off ends, tin them and then resolder them on the RF/power board.

Have you tried inspecting the board for any damage or bad solder joints?

You forgot "hello" and "please".

B/W picture means, that your TV can't synchronise color subcarrier anymore. Are you sure, that you have famicom? Just, you know, some folks have a clones, which are slightly different, so existing solution might not work with clone.
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Hello.

I'm not sure if the famicom is real or not.  When I said I had a monochrome screen, it would still show a color, just one color such as all pink, all blue, etc.  I have tried inspecting the board, and I'm awful at looking at the connections  and such.  That how I ended up disconnecting a few of the colored wires.  I was not careful enough with looking at the inside and then testing it out.

Thank you for your suggestions and inquiry.  I will definitely consider looking for someone who can do a better job than I can to resolder the wires and possibly other.

Definitely looks like a cloned system.

It's a clone, but not NOAC, which is good. You have to check if there is a plastic trimmer on PCB around crystal.

Not sure what you mean by NOAC or PCB.  Lucky for me kind of, I had a friend who helped me solder the connections back together.  It still didn't work, so I'll have to sell it for parts at this point.  My gut told me to test it out again today and when I opened up the inside, a plastic pink piece fell off, which could've been from a cartridge.  I also had to open up cartridges to clean them and get them working, and maybe somehow one of the clips broke off and got into the machine.  I also saw a blue plastic piece that fell out that looked like a jumper.  If there are any pieces that I described that would be in a famicom, let me know.  Of course, mine was a clone too, so. . .

I have misplaced the blue piece, so I can't take a pic of what it looks like if you need it.

Thank you again.
