Shovel Knight seems to be going pretty well on Kickstarter, 75% funded and 19 days to go. This game is by some people from Way Forward, and it looks like it could be on par with their best stuff. I like the boss design, and Duck Tales style pogo jumping is always a plus! I hope to be playing this on 3DS, or maybe Wii U.

Don't get me wrong, but I'm sick-n-tired with all those "pumped-up 8-bit style" kinda games as well as everything around so called "retro-hype" these days... wanna have it real "8-bit style" feel attached to it? make it only true way - make it NES* :fire:

I think there is a place for both. I´m glad there´s love for pixles, the art form was more or less proclaimed dead. Since these games aren´t running on actual 8-bit consoles, why not add some extra flair to graphics and sound while still remaning the strengths of the aestethics?

Still, I love it when people create actual new NES & SNES carts!

Looks nice, but Kickstarter really ticks me off with all the fruitless rewards.

Have lunch with the dev team!  Design an animated GIF and keep it!

Really worth hundreds or thousands of dollars? Fair enough if it was lunch with Miyamoto or designing a supporting character, but I can't help but sigh whenever I read a Kickstarter pitch.

6502 code consists of 56 instructions which're fittable on 1 page. c++ consists of few books each of 300-500 pages typically. Yeah, a lot easier ;D
