I built a megman minus infinity reproduction cart out of a spare mmc5 famicom pcb I had laying around.  Myself + spikeman (mostly spikeman) romhacked this romhack so it runs perfectly on a rgb modified system.  This footage is recorded from my rgb twin famicom mark 2.  This is the game played completely from start to finish.  Enjoy.

Nice video..  What didn't work correctly with the RGB PPU?  In others, which bits did you have to hack?

I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

This is a fun video, but only watch it you're already played through the current beta 0.01 release.

There's a lot of things in this game that need to be experienced first hand, not from watching a youtube video. Rest assured that Rockman 4 Minus Infinity is the most impressive game on the NES period, even more so than Gimmick. Megaman Forever (another Rockman 4 hack) is also a very strong contender, but it was abandoned at around 90% finished.

Also keep in mind that Drakon's video covers the 0.01 beta only, which will be quickly outdated. I am working with the original hacker to bring about an entire range of small improvements from a completely revised script with brand a new character set to sprite improvements and small touchups to level designs and more secret bosses, plus I'm helping in the construction of the secret special mode. I have several private builds that already replace the 0.01 build Drakon hacked to work with RGB. That's not a priority to me, so those changes will not carry forth. Drakon will have to do the RGB fixes again when more final builds come out.

Hopefully that cart can be updated when the time comes.

maskrom wired up and socketed for burn, drop and play capability.

We replaced color emphasis bits with grayscale, also disabled an un-needed menu that was glitching / crashing the game even on unmodified consoles.

I suppose eventually when the battery dies I'll give it a socket for easy replacing.

I'm going to get at least one ROM-hacked Mega Man sequel for every classic NES game, and this might have to be the one I get for Mega Man 4. I'd already had this on a watch list, but y'all are really making this sound cool. But it sounds like I should maybe wait a while, if there are major improvements in the works.

I remember seeing somewhere someone making NES repros of this cart.  What I don't get is, how does it mix in the mmc5 extra audio?

Is there a chance they used a Famicom MMC5 board with a pin converter?  Would that fit?  Moot question if you saw a NES board.
