WTB an adapter that will allow me to play famicom games in my NES

hoping to pay less than that :/ dont mind if it's an internal converter such as from a gyromite

If you have any retro game stores in town, your best bet is to go in and feel their launch games: Gyromite, Hogan's Alley, Excitebike, etc. Any five-screw copy that feels significantly heavier than the typical copy is probably holding an FC adapter. And those things are the best that I've used. Why settle for third-party hardware when you can get a legit, made-by-Nintendo one, right?

Unfortunately, if you have to buy one of these converter carts off of eBay, they're typically about $25.

true about ebay. I was hoping someone on here would be willing to let one go for cheaper since there's no sellers fee.

The guys at my local shop are pretty on point, they probably know better about those carts, but i'll check.

You could take a stab at fixing this one.

Edit.

I just realized it's still more than you wanted to spend.

hey but thanks for the heads up. that's not bad for an external converter and i would be using it in a top loader.

Negotiating with L___E___T for a converter but if it doesnt end up being part of the deal i may buy that one.

I've got a spare Gyromite with the converter.
