Hi..

First time poster and complete noob to the world of the famicom.
I'm living in Thailand and while there is quite a large retro gaming scene here, online web sites are few and far between.
I have however found this one site and would like your opinion on whether the prices are reasonable or not.
I am yet to purchase a Famicom, let alone a game yet. I have inquired about the Sharp Famicom Twin which shows as pre-order. He's asking 8500bht which is roughly 270 dollars. From what I've read already that price is a bit steep.
I'm thinking my first game purchase will be Mario 3, boxed and in mint condition.
If you change the language to English in the top left corner prices are shown in dollars.
Thanks for your views.

270$ sounds a bit expensive for a Twin Fami, though it depends on the condition, whether it is complete with its box in nice shape, etc.

Thanks for the reply.. Ye. Its boxed and apparently in mint condition.

I think considering you don't have to pay much for shipping, that price is quite a bit higher than it should be.  Take a look at completed listings on eBay, those should give you a good idea.

If someone wish to pay $270 for Twin, why not?
I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Well, I don't wish to pay anymore than its worth..
I'm tight... Just after some seasoned pros insight.

One thing I noticed about that listing is that it doesn`t include a picture of the box.  $270 might be an OK price if you are getting a really beautiful box and manual with it (like comparable ones available on Ebay for that price come with).  The box is extremely hard to find in mint condition and so it is worth quite a bit more.  If it is just the console that is in mint condition and it comes with a beat up box, then that would be a bit overpriced.

OK.. Thanks.. I'll look into it a bit more..

I can tell you that your prices for the SFC copies of FF 4, 5 and 6 and way out of line, a CIB copy of that game is worth $15 at best. I have gotten cartridge only copies of each of them for 99¥/$1.
Here are a few games I am looking for right now
Super Puzzle Fighter II X (Sega Saturn)
GeGeGe no Kotarou (Sega Saturn)
Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu (Sega Saturn)
KiKi KaiKai (PC Engine) (CIB)
Puzzle Bobble (Super Famicom) (CIB)
