Hello Famicom World!  I have a Gamegavel.com store that I have been running for almost 2 years now.  There are about 700 games up right now for a number of systems.  I list pretty slowly because I test (and play) all of them before I put them up.  But I try to add about 10-30 games a week.  Here is the description from my Gamegavel page:  http://www.gamegavel.com/sites/famicomvinnk/

Konnichiwa!  Welcome to Japan Retro Direct.  I know that might sound like it's a big company but actually it's just me and my rooms full of retro games.  I have been living and working in Japan for over a decade and have been into games my entire life.  Japan is a paradise for retro videogames.  I have learned a lot about them and I would like to help you know more about them too.

I have seen the crazy prices a lot of Japanese games are selling for online and I know those prices are keeping a lot of people away from trying imports, which is a shame.  I try to offer low, fair prices and charge as little for shipping as I can.  In this way I hope to share my hobby with you and make a little money to keep expanding my own collection.

If you have any questions about the games I am selling, just ask.  I have played all of them (which explains why I list stuff so slowly) and I am happy to answer any questions you might have.

Also, if there is something from Japan that you are looking for, send me a message.  I might be able to get it for you. Hello, I am in the process of listing 500+ Famicom games (about 100 of them are Famicom Disk System games) on my GameGavel Store.  I was going to make a post here when I got them all up but things keep selling as I list them and I want to make sure you guys have a crack at the stuff too (a few of you guys have already found them).  The "bid" and "buy it now" prices are almost the same in most cases and if you guys are not GameGavel users I would be happy to sell you items directly for the "buy it now" price (though I would prefer if you use GG since I am trying to build positive feedback there).

I typically list about 5-10 games a day (20+ on weekends) so it is gonna take me a bit to get everything up, but if there are items you like, please snap them up.

I'll keep this thread updated when I add new stuff.  And yeah, I take requests.  If there are any questions, let me know.

Yeah mostly pretty common stuff right now.  I'm still kind of testing the waters.  I have had a few rarer items up that got snapped up pretty quick.  I just don't want to invest in too many expensive games until I get more of a feel for it. 

However, I have already done some special orders for people and would be happy to help any of you guys find what you are looking for.  I've been in Japan 10 years now and know how to find things.

Most of the stuff I have been selling so far is pretty small so I am mainly using airmail (fast and cheap).  But for larger or more expensive items I offer SAL and EMS.

New items (December 2nd, 2013)

Pretty busy today so only added 5 items:

Hikaru Genji Roller Panic CIB (w/ Zodiac Spinner insert)
3 Disk Writer games with poster-manuals (I'll add about 7 more tomorrow)
An unlicensed adult mahjong puzzle game from Hacker. (neat cart shape)

Added a Boxed Super Xevious and A Rockman and Forte today (from the nintendo side)  Everything else I listed today was Wonderswan (and I don't know if you guys care about that).

Update 4:

Hmm... it seems this thread does not bump, it just merges.  So I hope people are still noticing this.  Anyway:

I have the 10 Disk Writer games (with posters) listed now.  And I also added another Hacker International Adult title (AV Poker).  Other than that it's been more Wonderswan and FM Towns Marty stuff.

If you have any requests, I might already have the game you are looking for (just didn't photograph it yet).  Let me know and I'll get it up.

Thanks.  Sorry, I should have known about the 3 day rule.

As for the Update.  I listed 15 more famicom games today.  Games of note are Lagrange Point and Kyūkyoku Tiger, the rest are all really common (but very cheap).  Also listed some Super Famicom and PC-FX stuff.

Added 10 more Famicom carts today.  All common (and cheap) except for Double Dragon 2 and Splatterhouse: Wanpaku Graffiti.  If there are some games you are interested in, I take requests.  If I don't have it already, I can get it.

Not too much new Famicom Stuff listed this week (about 3 loose carts).  I was busy with Christmas stuff.  Also I had requests from other buyers to put more PC Engine stuff up so I did:

January 16th: Gamegavel.com was messed up most of the week (at least in Firefox and Safari) but it seems to be working again now.  Because of this I didn't list too much stuff.  A few loose Famicom games, about 12 Mark III games and some Neo Geo Stuff.  Some CIB FDS games coming soon.

February 12th Update:

Lots of PC-FX games up.
Some rare PCE shooters (Steam hearts, Nexzr, God Panic)

Took photos of a lot of famicom/Super Famicom carts but con only put up a few a day.

Update: February 20th, 2014

Added about 50 games this week.  Mostly Super Famicom and mostly under $5.  A few Famicom titles as well (Donald Duck, Mother).  And a usual spattering of other platforms (PC-FX, Sega Saturn, Game Gear, N64).
