hey guys here is one really good question .
does anyone here have or know somebody that has a
original famicom Light gun revolver with holster.
I've seen videos and pictures but not seen one for sale
so far the research I had managed to dig up on it.
Nintendo had it sold in a separate package which included Wild gunman. man if I can find one of those that would be a really cool addition to my growing Famicom
collection. has anybody came across something like this ? ???.

I used to see the complete Wild Gunman set (cart, gun, belt, holster in a big oversized square box) not often, but occasionally, while living in Japan.  Anywhere from 6000-15000 yen depending on condition.  I passed on one for 5000 once in good shape, shouldn't have.  OH WELL I went with the stand-alone boxed version of the gun instead.

I found one recently but they don't show up often, you'll need to spend at least 5000 yen to find one.
I paid over double that for both of mine, but it's a new one so you can find them for less, you just need to look really hard and really often.

It took me 7 years of looking to find my first new in box one, so I snapped this one up as soon as I saw it.

I would have thought you could get a refurbished FDS for less than that - though I suppose the guy has to make his markup as well if it's a shop.

Depending on where you are it can be hard to find things like that - so nothing wrong with paying what you feel happy with - we just want to help you be informed so you can decide if that's what you really want to do.  I've not got an FDS hooked up myself (just a brand new one stored away), so I couldn't say first-hand how easy the mod is, but I've heard it's simple to do and the new belts are very readily available.

You may be better hanging on to your money unless there are a whole bunch of FDS games you're hungry to play.  Even then, I'd say better to spend that amount on an Everdrive N8, which will also play FDS games.

I heard a lot of times that fixing the belt is a pain. Then there's all that discussion about weather to adjust the spindle, drive speed potientometer etc.

Also the Everdrive leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to FDS games IMHO (it's good to have for other reasons though).

FamiFox

Well you have a point Thare but as far as what I'll be paying for the FDS I'll just wait until then Not really in
A rush for now I love my Famicom as is. Thats why for now I am mainly looking for. Classic Famicom Cassette games and accessories for now Then invest in a Fds later on. thanks for the advice and heads up  :).

FDS roms on the everdrive work fine but for example fds metroid runs great but the expansion audio is off pitch and sounds horrible.

P

Yeah that's what I mean. Also you can't switch disk sides whenever you want for obvious reasons.

150$ for FDS in a box is actually a decent price, if it works, you get the power supply you need, the seller gives warranty, the box is nice and it comes with some juicy papers and stuff.

I have seen some of the adverts paper sell for 20$ alone.

Selling  Japanese games in Sweden since 2011 (as "japanspel").
