Just got this thing in the mail,
Over the moon with it!
(the autograph is printed though)
Anyone seen it before?

MS-DOS4

I've seen something similar, I was sold this Zhong Shan Subor keyboard here that has a similar "celebrity" photo and autograph on the box, however it's done by a different company.

Yeah,
I have the Subor clones with Jackie Chan on the box too,
But i had never seen one with Jet Li on it until now.

Those Jackie Chan ones are very cool.  :)

How do the keys on your units feel by the way? I noticed my Subor one was exceptionally cheap and nasty.

Not too shabby,
all my old Subor and BBK keyboard clones are really heavy (compared to the later flatter ones)
And they pretty much feel and look like the keyboards found on late 80's,
Early 90's pc's.
Durable, heavy duty, mechanical keyboards.

I have some later famiclone keyboard consoles made by Matrix among others,
that have really flat, cheap buttons, the consoles themselves feel a lot flimsier and lighter too.
But i haven't found any differences or downsides in performance though.
My keyboard clones are usually better than my other clones anyway.
Sturdier, Less glitchy, better sound, better compatibility with original add-ons and accessories, (Datach, game genie etc)
In fact, they are so much better that i'm getting rid of my other clones in favour of my keyboard clones/copiers.
I have about 30 keyboard clones, from all over the world,
some in duplicate, and the cheapest one is still better than my best "normal" famiclone.

Here's the first stack,
Some Subor SB-2000 copiers on the bottom,
Some BBK's with printer ports on top of that,
Some Game Stars on top of that,
And some Diamond Leopard Kings.

I have some without box too, but not here right now,
And about 20 assorted others due to come in any day.

The Subors and BBK's are the oldest and in my opinion by far the best, really solid stuff with a lot of extras ;)
Printer ports among others.

Interesting, mine feels like they used plastics from modern famiclones and famiclone cartridges. You know, eggshell thin brittle plastic. It feels like it will break at any moment. The keys have no resistance when you push them down and they are very loose. Moving the keyboard will rattle all the keys. The Insert key is strange though, as it seems to have a proper spring and feels nice when pressed. I have no idea why they made one key work well and the rest awful, maybe mine is just flawed.

Hmm...
Could be you have a later model with cheap membrane keyboard keys, but i don't think even those should rattle
Like that.
Do you have pictures of your Subor?
Do you know the model?
They made so many models, some with minor differences,
Some radically different from any other.
I'm still discovering new models here and there.

The model is SB-939, and it's the F12 key that has a nice click sound and feel, not the Insert. Whoops.

Here is a video

One day I'll buy a better keyboard. It's nice knowing there are quality ones out there though.

Yeah, i think that one is worn out.
I can't imagine it being like that when it was new.
The Subor SB-2000 has by far the best hardware of them all though.
I'll send you some close up pics, and if i can manage a little clip of it in action.

MS-DOS4

I believe it was new in box. When I first got it the wires were factory wrapped and the unit shows no scuffs or stains. Just a cheap model or a factory defect.

I don't really want to sell this one, but i do have some boxed others from BBK (with printerports) that i could sell for
Any reasonable offer.
