4 pages of posts and no Game and Watches yet?

OK, these are some pics of mine:

http://famicomblog.blogspot.jp/2013/11/some-game-watch-goodies.html

Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong 2
Donkey Kong Jr
Donkey Kong Hockey
Boxing
Mario Bros
Mickey and Donald
Gold Cliff

All loose except for Donkey Kong Hockey which I have CIB.  Some of them are Japanese, some North American, though I think the versions are identical.

I love them so.

Hey man, I posted a couple of Game & Watches :)

Nice to see yours though - I like the clamshell Game & Watches best myself, especially Oil Panic, Donkey Kong and Greenhouse.

Here's my best example though, I've posted it before.

Took me a long time to find an affordable brand new Widescreen, I have a brand new Donkey Kong and Zelda though filed away.  Those were the first I bought actually.

Really nice to see everyone's collections here, considering this is a Famicom site.  Pikkon I actually want to 101 swap my NES SP and Famicom SP too - but I haven't found an affordable AGS-101 to do it yet :(

DDCecil great collection man, I see you like many of the same games I do :) On GBA, Castlevania, Rockman Zero and Astro Boy are king - also love Wario Ware and Rhythm Tengoku on GBA.

Maxximus I really like the GB Boy you got - took a look at the pic and the one of you in the mask caught me by surprise again!

Awesome collections, guys! :) Game & Watches, CIB games and systems, limited edition GBA SPs and GBA Micros. Glad your all sharing. Once my collection gets beefed up a bit, I'll post my pics. BTW, this is also my first 'Very Hot Topic'! :fire: :redcart:

I mainly collect Gamecube (GCN) items. I collect other items too, but I'm focusing on my GCN collection currently.

Like I said L___E___T ,if I ever come across a 101 for a decent price you have first dibs,

Yup, got all of them apart from the Gundam extra - it's really expensive but I'll get it some point for completion.

You can see that game here - with most of the other extra stuff (not my pic though):

I have the Display sets but they're all new in their shipping boxes so I didn't open them, but here's what they look like all set up (not my pic):

The shipping boxes are really nice I think (again not my pic):

Quick word of warning for anyone looking to buy them new off eBay - the games were NOT included with these display cases that Club Nintendo sent.
If you see them advertised as new and with the games, it is a lie.

This one's describing it right:

Nintendo Europe made a kind of NES version equivalent - it's nice but not a touch on the Japanese set:

Spoiler
also be sure to check out that owners collection here:

(Yes the green writing is extremely annoying, I've noticed a lot of French collectors do this or some reason, it's daft)
[close]

I still need to find one of these:

I have the official store poster too, looks like this:

There's lots of fun extra bits to collect in the Famicom Mini releases!

One thing I noticed is that there are actually two versions of Super Mario Bros. to collect, one appears to be a re-release and features some differences on the outer packaging:

I don't think I'll bother trying to get all the CDs, they're hard to find now and always super overpriced when you do.
I passed up an official box set of them all way back when and have never seen one since.  If I was going to get them all, I'd want that.
Anyways here they are for reference:

I have one for Hogan's Alley, that's good enough for now.

So that's a nice big image dump for now - I hope not considered spam as this is already an image-heavy 'show your stash' thread anyway.

Thanks, L___E___T. You have an epic gaming collection! Japan-exclusives, Club Nintendo prizes, limited edition specials, and tons of games and merchandise overall. I recently saw an unboxing video on YouTube, 9Where I came up with the idea to ask you guys for 'Famicom Mini' stuff.)and the guy had all three Japanese 'Club Nintendo' boxes, and 10 'Classic NES Series' games. I believe the 'Classic NES Series' had about 13 games, while the 'Famicom Mini' series had about 30 games, with the sexy collector's boxes and packaging, and the exclusive games. (Such as 'Super Mario Bros. 2' (The Lost Levels)).  Japan gets all the good stuff!!!  >:(

Japan had 31 because Namco Bandai released one as well in part of a Gamecube Special Edition, that's the one i need still.  If you count the 30th re-release, then that's 32.

Thanks, I have a lot of stuff, but there's still lots more I want to get and I've definitely run out of space.  Even getting loose Famicom carts now is tricky because they end up strewn about, I've had to start using shoeboxes as cases - Shoboxes!  :help:

Those images aren't mine though, I used them to illustrate, but looking through it makes you realise no matter how long you collect for there's always someone else with a collection that is gonna trump yours bigtime.

Take a look at the blog 'BeforeMario' to know what I mean...

I am a big Nintendo fan! especially GameBoy, N64, SFC, GC. And of course Mario games
I collect SFC/N64 mainly. Some rare famicom stuff too. Also miscellaneous video game stuff.

L___E___T

Thanks, its not just CIB - it's new and unplayed.  Took me a looong time to find that one.  Broke the bank a bit but I am really happy with it.  I'd still like to find a brand new GreenHouse and Oil Panic one day but they just go for so much money, I can't do it unless I start my own business and it really takes off.

I know someone that has EVERY Game & Watch in brand new condition!!  He's been collecting them since the SNES came out.

Mickey, I used to watch the cartoon but by the time the games came over GB was old and Pokémon was for young kids so I guess I just missed out on it.  I was well into PS2 by tHen in a big way.

Glad you folks like it, but looking at that lot makes me feel guilty - it takes up a lot of space and has been somewhat of a sore poor point between me and my girlfriend.  She's very accommodating of it all, but I feel selfish for keeping all this stuff.  I'm definitely going to have to sell it all or seriously downsize at some point, I just don't have room for all of it anymore.

I just got alot of this stuff through a period of madness - it kept growing and growing, and this is just part of the handheld collection, the Famicom collection is even bigger.  So, it's nice to have games to play, but it has totally run away with me so I try not to get much more unless it's brand new hardware or I really want to play it.

Nice to see game boy collections. :)

I feel a bit the same way, I have more than you but I don't feel like bragging/taking photos. In fact I have sold some of the more expensive games recently because they don't make me that happy and I never saw the purpose in collecting for a "full collection".
One should buy things that make you happy, sell stuff that doesn't. :) That's what I think.

Regarding GBC, I prefer to play with a GBC console actually. It is the most comfortable. But yes I also consider GBC games to be something lesser, that came in between the great GB and the great GBA libraries. I basically only collect grey GB carts. It is quite easy to build up a collection of that, since they are so cheap. Especially the Japanese library.

FredJ I've seen your GB case before - you have one of those yellow translucent GB Lights, right?  It was a very nice collection!
