I collect because of the nostalgia factor and because I'm a big fan of Nintendo as a company. I've been buying their products for the past 22 years. With my gaming habits however, and because I now have a signifigant other, my gaming space has become limited. I have XBOX360, Wii, and PS2 hooked up to our main TV. I can't fit anymore games on that screen without my fiancee going bonkers and throwing out my stuff  :D so I usually emulate if I want to play old games, or buy compilations or download them on VC. I know its faux pax to do so, but its my only option. I guess its an OCD thing, I like knowing I have these old items and pulling them out once in a while and lookin at them. I have two famicoms and I've never hooked them up to a TV to play, prolly never will. Just knowing I have them though gives me some sort of semblance. Its weird I dunno how to explain it. The older Nintendo stuff has become an obsession of mine as of late. When I get my gameroom set up in my new house I'll be able to show you all the cool stuff I've been amassing. much to the chagrin of my better half haha  ;D

Don't you want to know if they work?

I don't think that matters -- it's all aesthetic. So long as they look good, they're good enough to own, iho.
