I enjoyed it. It's kinda got that element you're talking about...and a chain...and Samuel L. Jackson. Let's just hope your girlfriend isn't like Christina Ricci. :o Or...maybe let's hope she is... ?

Jedi Master Baiter

You're comparing me to Samuel L. Jackson?

JC

Well, actually...you'd be Justin Timberlake. :)

Jedi Master Baiter

Excuse me for being isolated from the media, but why Timberlake?

my girlfriend lost her virginity at 13.
I seem to have a problem with that.  There's a couple of girls in my class that lost theirs at 13 also...
I don't like them for it, but I talk to them every once in awhile

Oh yeah, did I mention she's 4 years younger than I am?

And she can't count the number of times she's engaged in sex.

My question is: does it bring about urges?

Since I don't know what I'm missing, can making her wait cause her to go insane? :P
From all the movies and TV shows I've seen...

Yes.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Yeah sorry, my comment wasn't meant to be serious, especially in the presence of younger minds.

Thing is, you shouldn't dislike girls if they get taken advantage of by older guys.  It happens alot.  It's quite an easy mistake to make.

People make mistakes easy when there's pressure to lose virginity early, there was at my school.

He's the boyfriend in the movie...um...but...I guess you could be Jackson if you want, since he's trying to detox Ricci. Don't know if that's your goal.

You gotta love yourself before you can love someone else. Spend your youth finding out just who exactly you are. You should feel complete by yourself; don't use other people to make you feel complete. It'll only fail you in the long run. Life's a long game. The happiest people I know are those who are independent both in a relationship and by themselves. ;)

Jedi Master Baiter

Yeah, it's hard to love yourself because we're always looking into a "mirror" - society.  It gives us an interpretation to ourselves.

I can guiltlessly wake up any morning & look myself in the mirror - not quite sure if everyone can do that.

Ah, my friend has the best explanation of the mirror: I am what I think you think I am. At least I think that's what you're getting at, Jedi.

I've never fully appreciated the concept of love. It's so skewed by pop culture -- and in itself, it's more of an instinct, or fever, if you will, than it is a logical conclusion (or, for that matter, a logical beginning). I tend to subscribe to the Emerson baffler: "What is Love, and why is it the chief good, but because it is an overpowering enthusiasm?" Others think they have an answer to that question, taking a scientific approach, calling it "a dirty trick played on us to achieve the continuation of the species." And of course, there are others like Hugo who poetically believe that love is the nurishment of the soul: "Whoever we may be, we all have our living, breathing beings. If they fail us, the air fails us, we stifle, then we die. To die for lack of love is horrible. The asphyxia of the soul." I tend to think love is somewhere in between pure nature and pure poetry. The one consistency seems to be that love is necessary.

Regardless of its purpose, it's in us, and most of us learn to channel it constructively, toward ourselves and between others.

Yes, exactly - the looking-glass self.  I'm glad I'm taking Sociology. :)

But what do I do about my relationship? :(

I haven't seen her since January, & her birthday's coming up, & I don't know what to get her. ???

Rez Trance Vibrator for ps2. haha. If you want to get her something nice, get her a purse or some clothes. Girls can never get enough of either of these things. Just go to some girl store and grab whatever just came out. She will love you for a week or two.

Either that or get her something cool and unusual. Think about stuff that would amuse both of you.
In fact, the more unusual and targeted your present is, the better. You could even try creating something for her, instead of just buying mass produced crap, or modifying said mass produced crap in a creative way ;).

I once bought a cheapo analog wall clock, modified the electronics to make the clock run backwards and printed a new clock face with the numbers increasing in the opposite direction. Basically I created my own, working Reverse Clock. I took a meaningless piece of mass produced crap and gave it my own personal touch. I gave the clock to my girlfriend on her birthday. She absolutely loved it ;D.
