Hello i am looking for some tips for GB games.
I really like the simplicity of games like : Galaga, Dig Dug, Defender, Missile Command, Tower of Druaga, Tetris etc.
You know, that type of games that are easy to get into but you are mastering them your whole life. ;D
And they are best on portable system :)

Any tips for some hidden(more less) gems on GB of this sort?

Thanks, and sorry for my engrish :)

'Pac Panic' (Pac Attack), while not strictly an arcade port, it's based on the arcade game 'Cosmo Gang - the Puzzle'. Really great game for the GB, especially the puzzle mode.
'Puzzle Bobble' (Bust-A-Move 2) is pretty good and 'Heiankyo Alien' is another good port of a really old and fun arcade game. 'Mr Do' is very playable as well.

I really like Tasmania Story, and that one's based on Namco's Mappy. You might also like Natsume's Amazing Penguin.
So ends another chapter in the glorious legend of the Ninja... Until next time...

I would recommend classic Game Boy games for you: Tennis, Solarstriker, Alleyway, Tetris, Dr Mario, Bubble Bobble, Yoshi no Tamago, Spartan X, Rockman World series, Super Mario Land series, Kirby series and Castlevania series.

Satoshi Matrix has Game Boy top lists on his blog http://satoshimatrix.wordpress.com/.

If I was to recommend what I thought were the best Game Boy games overall... Ninja Gaiden Shadow, Ganso!! Yancha Maru, Sumo Fighter, and all the Takara/SNK fighting game ports.

Yeah, nice list but i know about most of these "best ever GB games", but Spartan X looks great, i had no idea it was ported to GB.

I was reading top lists on Satoshi Matrix just yesterday. I know about most of these games but there are some hidden GBC gems in GB/GBC Top 100 games (like Daikatana and that Natsume ninja game), sadly it is unfinished. :(

I own Battle Arena Toshinden and Ganso!! Yancha Maru, both are really great. Ganso!! Yancha Maru is really simple but fun to play every now and then. It remins me a Super Mario Land 1, simple but fun still after these years. :)

Yeah, there are definitely some changes to Mappy's formula. I think it's a bit tougher, the screen doesn't scroll so the action is confined to a much tighter area, your hero drops bombs to kill enemies, rather than opening/closing doors on 'em, and you fall through the floor a lot faster, so you gotta act quick. It's a hectic game, but I reiterate, very fun.

2 arcade-y games I really like are Mr. Chin's Gourmet Paradise (set 2 bombs down between enemies to turn them into food, break bricks ala Super Mario Land for power-ups) and Lock n Chase (updated from the arcade version with themed levels and such).
