My intention is to straddle the line between doing a let's play and a full review. The idea is to show the first part of a game, give impressions and history where appropriate, and ultimately leave it up to the viewer to decide if they want to track the game down or not. If I really like a game and recommend it I will, but otherwise it's just about offering something more than you'd get in a let's play while not requiring the massive amount of time full edited reviews would take, allowing me to pump out 1-2 of these a day.

This is nothing new of course, I've been doing this kind of thing for several years. What is new though is my switch to direct captured footage rather than using a camera aimed at a screen. That's why I'm trying to promote my stuff a little more now - I feel it's actually worthy of promotion. I hope you guys will watch and perhaps share these with others through facebook, other forums etc. My channel is still pretty small, so the viewcounts I get aren't exactly impressive.

I remember watching some your videos a few years ago, when I was researching about getting my first Famicom. I like your style, very informative. I like the short let's play/reviews, reminds me of Lukemorse1 if you watch him. Unfortunately, he doesn't post very much anymore.

Well, I've been doing videos since before Luke, so I can't really say he's an influence, but I respect him nevertheless. He's got me beat when it comes to technical know-how, which is more important than my vast knowledge of games themselves.

Sometimes dubbed "Super Atari-Bros." thanks to the primitive VCS-like visuals, I think that's both unfair to the VCS (the 2600 was actually capable of some pretty decent animation of which Pixel Kingdom omits on purpose) and I also think that comparing it to the Atari is missing the whole point, which is minimalism.

Interesting Rockman hack. I hadn't seen any that update the player sprite well. And although I don't prefer it to the original, it is well-done. Wish the other robot masters had received updates to match the art style.
