I'm just kind of curious. Is it possible to do a repro English translation of the Final Fantasy I∙II cartridge?

I haven't yet done a Final Fantasy 1.2 cartridge, but I've tested the common translation patch with an Everdrive and it worked fine in both games (no freezing), so in theory yes I can do that game too.

It did, but it's a completely different port of the game.

Yeah, the USA version of Maniac Mansion never made it to Famicom. The version I used is the uncensored prototype that retains things like the reclining nude statue on the second floor of the mansion, because why not?

Ah fair enough, I didn't realise it was that different, I assumed bar the text and some changes they were largely the same!

You mean different between American and Japanese Maniac Mansion? Good grief no, they are almost completely different games.
