Famicom disk system stays stuck on now loading...

Hi,

I have repaired a previous famicom disk system and bought a second unboxed one for daily use.  The original one I bought had a broken belt and managed to fix this and plays all disks perfectly.  I have kept this in storage :)

I bought a second one which seems to be a new model as the silver metal that keeps the belt in place is missing the outer rectangle part which is used to align the spindle when putting it back together.  It's fine as there are still indicators on how this needs to be put back together.

With the new one I received it with a broken belt.  I have cleaned all the gunk off, put in a new belt and spins perfectly.  Once I insert a disk it stays stuck on the now loading screen the disk is spinning correctly and the head moves back and forth.  This is on a constant loop and no error codes are given

Steps I have tried:
Made sure the head is in the right position
Belt is spinning correctly
All black switches on the circuit board are aligned properly
Checked the ram adapter is not at fault with my exisitng disk system

Any help would be appreciated :)

I don't buy, sell or trade at moment.
But my question is how hackers at that time were able to hack those games?(c)krzy

Like 80sFREAK said, the head must go back and hit a black switch. If the head never hits the switch, the machine can't tell if if the side has finished reading. make sure you have taken off all the old grease that looks like goop and coat every moving part with new oil.
