I hear on Twitter that this is some storage department at Nintendo HQ.  They have a Disk Writer kiosk!

All those beautiful brand new famicoms... :'(
I had a copy of Gimmick when I was a kid but my mother threw it out while I was in college. :(

So one is finally found!  Even with the little yellow cart in too.  I'm simply going to have to make a replica of this, that's it.

OH MAN!!!

That Disk Writer is awesome! We need to get them to take more pictures of it. Wow!!

I'd love to see inside.

Finally!!

Good to see that Nintendo really preserves their history.

It's super funny to me how the games to be written are stored on NES cartridges.

:o, oh my!  Nintendo could earn some  :coin: by charging for tours of its Storage Department.

Yeah it's funny! I guess they saved money by reusing what molds they had on things like this, since consumers won't see them anyway. Just like Famicombox carts.

So were new famicom boxes actual sealed or they had security stickers? Because looking at the pictures i can't see any shrink wrap on any of the boxes.
I am back everyone :)

What I want to know is how the disk system worked on first try.  I was always under the impression that if they sat around unused the rubber belt would just melt and a new one had to be put on.

They probably made it really cold in the storage department to avoid things like that.
