What kind of cables does the Sharp Famicom Twin needs?

I can't seem to find the right AV cables for this console; from what i've seen, they are supposed to be male cables on each ends (4) but how are those called exactly?
And where can i find those on ebay?

Thank you!

Thank you.

Does it tune on the AV channels that way? Like the AV1, AV2, ecc..

(Im trying to see if it would work on a PAL Tv)

P

Not sure what you mean by tuning? The RF port needs tuning, AV ports just takes a composite video signal so no tuning.

If your TV has AV1 and AV2 modes it probably means it has several composite input ports, one mode for each port. Just pick the one you connected the RCA cables in.

It won't work on a PAL TV unless it has NTSC support. If it has PAL 60 Hz support you will get a picture but no color.

Thing is, there are two of those composite inputs on my TV; there's the "standard" one with three colours and another one with only two connectors which are white and red.
I dont think i've ever used those two in the back, so im kinda clueless about that  :-[

Anyway, i bought my TV back in 2008 and i think it was one of the first TVs to support blue ray discs; it DOES also support PAL 60 HZ (i remember playing through TWW in 60hz mode) but i have no idea if it actually supports NTSC.
My only "proof" would be the fact that for example, my SNES can clearly display NTSC-J games (through a converter) and my modded PS1 can do the same thing, but i dont know if that actually has anything to do with NTSC signal.
There's a way to find out if it does?  ???

AV RCA cables are usually color coded in the following manner:
Yellow - Composite Video
Red - Audio (Right Speaker)
White - Audio (Left Speaker)
The red one may sometimes be black.

I suspect those extra white and red connectors to be output ports not input ports though. So you can connect external stereo speakers on your TV for example. It's usually marked if it's output.

SCART connectors can allso carry composite video and stereo audio, so if your TV has SCART the second AV channel is probably for the SCART.
If you have an RCA->SCART adapter you can use the SCART connector with your RCA cables.

I may be wrong but don't think SNES games have control over the video signal (although they can change the vertical resolution between 224 or 239 lines). Your PAL SNES probably sends a PAL signal to the TV no matter what region the game is. No idea how PS1 works though.
The best way to find out is to try it on your TV.

Correct me if im wrong, but from what i've seen, the Twin Famicom requires two male RCAs to trasport the input (https://i.ytimg.com/vi/QY0SF3PlhFI/hqdefault.jpg a thumbnail with the connectors)?
All the AV cables i have, got three colours and the other end output is different (for example, that one you may find on the Gamecube AV cable, which is this one http://knightdiscounts.com/VideoGames/gamecubestandardavcable.jpg).
So..this one won't fit i guess.

You are not wrong, you need male plugs in both ends like you said in the first post.

Famicom only outputs mono sound so that's why there's only one audio port. For audio you may need an RCA cable that has one cable in one end and two in the other so that you can split the audio signal to both your speakers. There are also splitter adapters that simply splits the port into two females.
If not, you'll only get sound from one speaker.

P

Yes but you need a splitter for the audio if you want sound from both speakers.

That's a bundle of 3 cables but the Twin only have 2 ouput ports, one for video and one for audio. That means you can only use one cable for audio, so you'll only get sound from one speaker. But with a splitter adapter (random link) you can connect 2 cables into the audio port so you get audio from both speakers.

Thank you; also, while looking for cables i've also came across a full AV cable with a SCART thing at the end; it's exactly like this one http://static.bakeca.it/immagini/374/374001735c9f0df909cddb5e315c14ac.jpg
except that it has a little "in" and "out" switch on the SCART.
My TV has two SCARTS ports; i was thinking about plugging the video and audio (mono) in the console and letting it connect through the SCART connector; would it work that way?

P

Yes SCART or RCA, the shape of the connector doesn't matter as long as your TV has it.
You still need the splitter though.
