Does anyone really put the FDS beside the Famicom?

In an ad, I saw the Famicom placed to the left of the FDS, but does anyone use it this way?

Why would anyone do that?  It fits so perfectly under the Famicom.

I reckon that's just for the purposes of this commercial - to easier show off the system.  Don't forget there's this official marketing image, Nintendo were trying something here.

I actually have my FDS to the side and I either have 2 Disk Systems on top of eachother, or a Gamecube on top of my FDS.

I have to place my FDS right under my Famicom, not only because it looks awesome, but because I don't have that much space for my games, and putting it beside the Famicom gets it dangerously close to my CRT  :-\

Levitation? ;D

The mag disks actually can levitate if you have a plate underneath with a charge running through it.

Sure, posted earlier in the thread.  The plate is hidden by a grey cloth over the top of the set.

I thought I was very, very obviously joking.  Please do not try this somehow with your disks!

I played along because I thought it was clear, I guess things get lost in written word alone.

Not that anyone has the means to try it, but again, DO NOT take a magnet to FDS disks.

You can put weak magnets to a floppy disk without any ill effects, according to this video:

I wouldn't recommend it and had a worry someone might try this after my joke and would hate it if it affected the disk.  That media format is not exactly well known for data preservation right.
