HAHAAHHAHA that's the cover of Star Wars Rouge Squadren for the N64!  ;D Oh wow. By the way hehaji would you mind telling us where you got the pirate so we can start to look ourselves? I can't get over the art on that cover, Star Wars has almost nothing to do with Recca other than that they both feature ships.

Hehaji lives in Thailand. Enough said, I think.

I lives in Thailand. My pirated Summer Carnival is real Summer canival not Starwar. If you want to see screen shot on my TV and Famicom console when I play it. I 'll post it for you. In my country have many pirated famicom games but now almost of them for sell are multi carts. One game alone are hard to find. I find them at the antique market. Most of Pirated cart label be different the game inside. This topic show my FDS pirated carts collection.  :)

Mario 8 (pirate)
SMB2j
SMB3
Star Force
Joy Mech Fight
Crisis Force
Recca (:P)
Hitler no Fukkatsu
(If you can understand Japanese) Mother
Donkey Kong
Devil World
Dai Meiro
Adventure Island series (2 being my favorite)

That's all I can think about for now, I'll edit this post if I think of more

A nice substitute to all of these would be a PowerPak+converter, and you can do what is mentioned below on original hardware.

I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Blue Protoman

MOTHER.  Now.

Dammit, too slow!  Meh, I still reccommend it, even though it's Japanese.  Just get the EB0 ROM.

Binary Land, Challenger, Power Joy (pirate cart), Doraemon.

Binary land is one of my all time favorites. It's about penguins who love each other. It's a lot better than it sounds, I promise. Doraemon is also a lot better than you'd expect.

Power Joy is a pirate cart I found a while ago. It's full of great games like Devil World and Pooyan in their original forms.

Jabra

-Castlevania series
-Adventure Island 2,3 and 4
-Legendary wings
-Super Mario bros 3

There are tons of game recommendation threads. Search "recommendation."

Recca is a tough one, but worth digging up. I got a pirate version too.

My recommendations, in no particular order:

1.Recca
2. Devil World
3. Mighty Final Fight
4. Parodius
5. Splatterhouse
6. Mother
7. Salamander
8.Akumajou Special
9. Sweet Home
10. Galaga

Recca being a crazy shooter, plus nerd cred. Devil World is a fun maze game with things stepped up a bit...very fun. Mighty Final Fight is a fun little side scrolling beat 'em up. Parodius Da!! is just a silly great shooter. Slatterhouse...side scrolling goofy gore action, can't go wrong. Mother, pretty innovative RPG. I recommend either a foreign language faq, learn some Japanese, or get an English ROM. Salamander... HARD shooter, plus the cart is awesome looking. Akumajou Special...Castlevania, Alucard, fun action, decent graphics...'nuff said. Sweet Home....creepy...but still searching for a foreirn language faq for it. Galaga... arcade classic, ported pretty well. Great shooter.

1. SD Hero Soukessen: Taose Aku no Gundan -- the power went out when I was at the final boss! Still haven't beaten it.
2. Recca -- never actually played it, lol, but it sounds amazing!
3. Hino Tori -- newly discovered on my part, and downright cool.
4. Akumajo Special -- a must have for a Castlevania fan.
5. Joy Mech Fight -- best hand-to-hand fighter...maybe the only?
6. Downtown Nekketsu Koushinkyoku: Soreyuke Dai Undoukai -- too fun to beat up your friends (up to 4 players).
7. Super Mario World (pirate original) -- don't expect the real thing.
8. King Kong 2: Ikari no Megaton Punch -- a challenge...you'll need to map the worlds because of all the warping you'll do!
9. Soap Panic (unlicensed) -- like Tetris, closer to being Puyo Puyo, but awesome, plus nudity!
10. Gekitotsu!! Yonku Battle -- awesome, but too easy and short. :(

Based on your FW review, I had purchased an SD Hero Soukessen on the 8th and am still waiting for it to get here (not an expensive game at all, so I can't go wrong).  Still waiting for my pirate Recca from P-Hax, and based on this thread, I suppose I will be looking to get Hino Tori in the future.

Hello Famicom World!

My name is Jeremy, an I am an avid classic game & console collector, and grew up on Nintendo. I recently (and FINALLY!) got my very own Famicom, Disk System, and Super Famicom.. but have no games to play on them  :'(

So tell me, for those three systems, what are the best of the best games that were not released in America, and dont require a lot of knowledge of the Japanese language (ie: RPG's that are all Japanese text).

The only games I have ever played were Dragon Ball 3 for the FC, Super Mario Bros 2 for the FDS, and Uchu Race: Astro Go! Go! for SFC. Those games told me I was missing out! I need more!
