Mysterious Super Famicom Cable

I was at a Hard-Off when I found a mysterious cable. It seemed to be for the Super Famicom controllers, as it had the controller ports from it, but I wasn't able to identify the other port. At first it seemed like a USB-C, and while it did fit in, it didn't seem like a perfect match and my Chromebook couldn't detect it. Does anyone have any idea on what this could be? :help:

The last photo is pretty blurry.  Looks sort of like usb-micro or usb-mini.

Sorry, here's a (slightly) better photo. I suck at photography I guess.

Also, do you have any idea on what this is, as well as how to use it?

Kinda looks like some kind of USB, but it's still a bit blurry.

If it's USB it could be an adapter for playing SFC controllers on a PC or something.
Or it's something entirely different just reusing the USB connector, like the SNAC-adapters for MiSTer which are just adapters for the MiSTer's core-specific user port.
In that case plugging in to a USB port could be dangerous for the hardware.

Here's a relatively better (but still terrible) photo, hopefully it isn't as blurry.

I tried connecting it to my Chromebook, and while it did physically connect (not a perfect match though), my Chromebook didn't seem to detect it. At least it didn't damage anything.

Yeah, that's a much clearer shot.  Was able to use Google Lens to find a match.

Look like it's an adapter for a portable SNES clone by Retroad:

I'm still doing some digging, but seems like a match.

This is what you have: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256801274289108.html

If it just connects the wires directly to the Retroad it's no different from a SNAC adapter, it's just using a USB connector (or whatever connector that is) because they are easily available. Connecting it to the wrong thing that is using the same connector could short-circuit something.

But it isn't USB-C because those are symmetric and this one isn't, so it probably didn't make a proper connection. It looks more like a USB-mini or -micro -A or -B.

Looks like, but isn't ;D

I see, so it's something proprietary maybe.
