What kind of laptop?  I got my first laptop as an early Christmas present... in October It's a Toshiba Qosmio X305 (With subwoofers!!)

1) 3 translation jobs worth around 1100$  -->
2) the joy of translating some boring accounting texts over the holidays

Well it was last year but I got a Gateway from the T-series with the built in webcam and HDMI output which works great on the flat screen tv my mom has at her place. Another reason to visit her more often oh and LOL to all those A Christmas Story lines....
