Like mass-produced? At least not me. But many people have created their own, search for NESp for example.

I have a GameAxe, but man you wouldn't want a portible NES. The carts are way too big for that.

most people who play nes games on the go remove the pcb from the cart

Use a converter on the game axe, then disassemble the cart and take out the board and plug the board into the converter. If you do not remove the board from the cart it will be way to bulky for the gameaxe.

At my Blog : http://nesfami.com.ar/blog/
I posted an entry with this PMP who loads roms of NES/Famicom. Then you can play with it. Sweet.
No save function =/

What's everyones favorite portable NES/Famicom?

I personally prefer the FC Portable System. It's a bit bulky, but hey, I can play NES games portably, so i'm not complaining :D

Yeah same thing here PSP is really the way to go if you want a portable NES/Famicom/Famicom System. I use NesterJ to play my nes games, and they all play flawlessly. The sound is crisp and exactly the same, and the image is also sharp and beautiful. Since this is an emulator, you can of course save and load save states and adjust the game settings to your needs. Plus you can put as many games as your memory stick can hold and you don't have to carry any games  :)

Damn right. A few years ago I got my hands on a PocketPC for about a week. The first thing I did was load it with a NES emulator and a crapload of ROMs. It had a D-pad & four buttons for some operating system actions, and those were conveniently remapped in the NES emulator as controller 1(what a coincidence!). Playing some NES on those long, cold, dark winter morning bus rides... it was heaven.

Now I want a PocketPC! I have a PSP Slim & Lite, although it has the newest firmare. Therefore, I cannot use emulators on it. :(

You'd need to have a Pandora battery to downgrade it or find some kind of hack for your firmware on qj.net to get it running emulators. Once you've hacked your psp you can pratically modifiy it in any way possible! Like for example I've got a version 3.90M33-2 psp, and I've changed the boot sound, game boot sequence, and I've added this Fusa program to enable me to play any game on my psp to my non-HD tv! So I can play all those emulators and psp games full screen on my tv, which pretty nifty! The possiblilities are just endless when you've hacked a psp :)
