Jedi Master Baiter

Welcome, Ricky!

The Neo Geo consoles have always intrigued me, especially the AES.  Back in the day, I always wanted to see Metal Slug ported to a console I actually had. :(

Hope your Famicom issues get resolved! :)

ricky

hi jedi  :)

i had the chance to swap metal slug a few years ago with a jpn genesis and have been kicking my self ever since  :-[

great game don't think i'll ever be able to get one though unless i get a converted one.

Hey Ricky!

I myself have a MVS MV-1F motherboard and a Supergun.  Do you collect AES or MVS?

Hey, all. My name's Michael, and I'm from the US. I'm in school for music composition right now, and I've always loved classic gaming. I was born right at the end of the 80's, so the first console I ever owned was an SNES which is where I do the bulk of my gaming. At one point, I acquired a friend's NES and a bunch of games, but playing the blinking light was getting old (even after a pin replacement), so I sold it. I recently bought a Hyperkin RetroN 3 and it works beautifully, so I'm regretting selling all of those games and accessories. However, having a more reliable system has inspired me to start seeking out NES and Genesis stuff. I'm currently in the process of finding an FC-to-NES converter and hope to use this forum to learn more about the wonderful world of Famicom and find support when needed.  :pow:

Hello, my name is Josh and my gaming mostly tends to be speedruns and fighting-game tournaments.  To give you an idea, I have the world records for Castlevania 1 + 3 (all characters) + 4 as well as many more obscure games.

That's what ended up bringing me here - I did a Castlevania speedrun on a Japanese stream, and the guy there gave me an AV Famicom and Wai Wai World because he wants me to do a live run of that game for a stream that's about a week from now.  However, he gave me a NES AC adapter to use with the Famicom and I wasn't aware of how bad that is.  So now I have an AV Famicom that won't turn on and I have to pinpoint the cause and fix it before this stream!  Been posting in the repair thread, been able to rule out a couple things at least...have an idea of what's wrong but no idea how to fix it.  Anyone willing to part with a motherboard?  :P

Just a very old member here. I've been browsing some of the forums I used to browse, and my, it's been a loooooong time since I've last been here! This site has certainly grown very much in popularity, nice job on the maintenance Admin! You may possibly remember me as Full_Metal_Alchemist from animelives.com forums, and I think you were a mod named Meguire on there  :P

2006?!  Damn! :D  I just tried checking your posts though, and it only brings up two.  This one, and one you made in 2006.  I wonder where the other 11 are...

Hi all,

My name is David/Dave/whatever you want to call me i'll answer to most insults as well ;)

Been collecting pretty much everything for many years. Originally from the UK, been living in Japan for close to 11 years.

Must admit i come here at the end of my collecting days - life (work and family) have absorbed pretty much all my time and i'm looking to pass on (... okay... sell!) any and every item i have to those who would be able to give them the time and love they deserve. I have around 200 or sof boxed (in various states) FC games and around 60 or so NES titles but hoping to get those figures down to 0 and 0 :(

Been a long term lurker and hope i don't come off as a flyby seller - i guess most my selling is done on Shmups.system11.org where i -think- i've got a good reputation :)

Anyways, hope i can pass on some stuff and hope to stick around reading threads and inevitably kicking myself for selling up in around a years time! :)

All the best
