I'm neoking2002_neo, the same exact one from Neopets.
You may recognize me as Neomysterion from The Retro Gamers 2, MagneticDestroyerX3 from RetroJunk, and The Plushie Ultimatum from Jellyneo Forums.
I hope you guys don't mind old-school NES fans here at Famicom World. :D

I actually like to collect NES games and stuff (among stuff for other Nintendo systems) back at home (including a few seldom-seen titles). I haven't ever touched a Famicom in my life, but the NES is close enough for me.

If you know me from a different forum, let me know, tthanks! :D

That's what you're saying now, but give it some time and I bet you change your mind.  ;)

Benc

Hello everyone!

Been lurking a lot in this forum for quite some time now and I thought I'd finally post something here too.  ;D

The name's Benc and I'm from Brunei. I've been interested in the Nintendo Famicom/NES since I never owned an 8-bit gaming console before (I grew up with the Sega MegaDrive), and I really love the Japanese gaming culture. Finally bought an AV-modded Famicom and from there I started my small Famicom collection. I'm also a big fan of chiptune music and the Nintendo GameBoy (which I also collect). My love for retro-games is driven by the fact that there are not so many people in my country who are into old-school video-gaming, and so I think I'm one of the few :)

Welcome! I'm fascinated that we have such diverse members here, I mean Brunei is a country I know virtually nothing about. What is the gaming/collecting scene like in Brunei?

Yeah, we're just a small country so nobody knows a lot about us ;D

Sadly game piracy is a common thing here, many people buying modded Xboxes since pirated games are really really cheap (for just a few bucks). However there is a collecting community for PS3 owners, those who collect, swap and trade games with each other.

"Xboxes" you mean Xbox 1?

When it's unlocked wow, it's completely a new world, emulators, backup manager, media centre support, OS available too.

I don't pirate my consoles any more, I did it to my PSP which I don't own any more, but that is long gone.

When you own the legit copy of a game, it feels worthy of completing but a digital/pirate copy just not the same feeling.

Aah, I meant the Xbox 360.

Totally agreed. Reminds me of a friend of mine who has tons of games but all are pirated-copies. I see no value in them :P

Hello guys. I wanted you all to welcome. :) I learned about this forum from friend Vash.  I'm from Poland, for years been passionate about Famicom games. I have collection of Famicom carts (predominantly pirates). Once again hello! :)

manuel

Welcome!
I hope you have fun here. :)

NintendoKing

Awesome, welcome Machbed!
I am sure happy that you are here, its always great to see more diversity around the forums and yes your country is a great location for Famicom pirates.

machbed

Unfortunately, Poland are fewer and fewer Famicom pirates.
This forum is very nice place. :)

Hello everyone,

I suppose it is time for an introdocution.

I come from Sweden. Found this forum through a Google search.

My main interest is in Japanese Game Boy games and I have a little site about that in Swedish. I've bought lots of Japanese game boy games and consoles and sold some. People started asking me for Famicom games, and then I got into that. :)

In that last few days I've been playing SMB3, and had a great time !!
Selling  Japanese games in Sweden since 2011 (as "japanspel").

Hi, my name is Matsor from Holland and came across this forum searching for some famicom games. I am planning to collect some famicom games, mainly early nintendo releases like pulseline, silverbox.  8) Hope to learn a lot here and get to know some people here!
