Thought you were...let us all pray for its functionality...

JC

Let us know when you get it and how it works out. I'm curious if it's modded and if that makes it easier to set up. Oh, and that multi-cart -- don't forget to divulge the contents.

K, I'll give you guys a lil' update here. On the 11th, I got this e-mail from the seller:

"Hi Bryan!

Many thanks for the PayPal echeck! I'll have your package shipped out in a couple days
when it clears.

Gerald

This email confirms that you have received a Pending eCheck Instant Purchase Payment for $65.50 USD from Bryan xxxxx (bc_in_mb@hotmail.com).

This eCheck Payment will remain "Uncleared" until the funds have cleared from the sender's account, which usually takes 4 business days. If you are shipping an item, please do not ship your item until the funds have cleared into your PayPal account. You will be notified by email when the funds have cleared into your PayPal balance. "

So, according to this, it's somewhere in the mail, right? In a week or two, I'll have my Fami. Can't wait!  ;D

So just as I was leaving my house today for a funeral, I see the one thing that can make you jump for joy even when you're on your way to a funeral barreling down my street: the Canada Post delivery truck. Sure enough, when I got home, one of those Delivery Notification slips was in my mailbox. So tomorrow, after 1:00 PM, I'll drop by my local 7-Eleven and pick up my new FC!

JC

Well, then I'm happy and sad for you. :) :(

And why 7-Eleven? When I get a notification slip I go to the post office to pick up the package. Dang weird-ass Canadians. :P :)

Hey! I take offence to that comment. Where else can I pick my purchases and get some sort of tasty treat all in one location?

What? Oh yeah...the FC's BROKEN! I can't tell you how disapointed  I was when I tried firing it up. Nothing at all comes up on the screen. You wouldn't even be able to tell if I turned it on or not. I took it apart to examined the innards, and nothing looked broken or melted or anything. However, from what I see, I think it's a power problem. There must be some loose connection somewhere...

At least the pirate is good. When you turn it on, "Super 190 in 1" scrolls up slowly on a starry background. Then you pick a section either 1-100 or 100-190. Then you get to another page with some sweet upbeat music and pick from another seclection of pages of games. Once again I've only been to the 1st page, so when you go there, the same music that is on my 31-in-1 boots up. I see the usually Exerion and 1942 and that. It also contains both the BPS Tetris and Tengen's Tetris, which is totally excellent as I'm a Tetris fan. Another interest is a game called "The New Human" which is kinda like Gun.Smoke.

Anywho, don't wanna take up the whole page, so I'll leave you with this. I'll post again when I check out more of the cart (or if you guys know any more about busted FCs...).

nes_pwnerer

After more examining of the cart, there's about 85 or so unique games. One pleasant surprise was "Fancy Mario" which is the same game as the "Dream Mary" posted on your Pirates section. Note that all of the uniques are in the first half of the cart: the other half has "Super", "Crazy", or "Crazy Super" at the beginning of each game, which just allows you to modify certain aspects of the game (lives, starting level, etc) (And yes, me and my friends all had a good laugh at "Crazy Arabian"). When I'm less lazy, I'll write out a full list of games.

And again, if anyone has any tips of what to look out for when trying to figure out how to get a Famicom to work, (like a checklist or something) please let me know. I'm dying to play the real thing!

nes_pwnerer

Sorry about my abscence! I've been busy and haven't even been playing any games in awhile. Anyway, I've got pics:

Here's our subject. As you would expect, there is NO Ghostbusters on the cart

This is the back, complete with a game list. It's all in Japanese, so it doesn't help me much.

Duh-nuh..........duh-nuh...........

.....dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun

DAH!!!!....That was the intro. The cart may have repeats, but it just redeemed itself right there (Note that there really isn't any Jaws-type suspence sounds effects; that was for dramatic buildup).

All in all a pretty solid multicart. If anyone has any questions regarding titles or what-have-you, please ask.

Jedi Master Baiter

Yes, is each Tetris different?  I take it one of them is the Tengen one. ;)

nes_pwnerer

Tetris I is BPS Tetris (as seen on the site) and Tetris II is Tengen Tetris. It was cool to finally play the BPS version, but Tengen is much better, mostly because two can play at once.

Doc

It would be okay if were to put that on the site, right? ;D

nes_pwnerer

Sure, no problem.  I do what I can.

Also, I have a 200-in-1 if you're interested.  It's in an NES cart though...
