It annoys me that animation has taken a nose dive lately. I mean shows like Chowder and Flapjack are great. But then you get crap from Canada like Total Drama Island and 6teen and Skunk-Fu.

Another thing that annoys me is cartoons made in Flash. I understand it's cheaper and such, but it just looks so cheap and terrible. Like a show could have an interesting concept and then just suck in the art department because it looks like it was made in a week in Flash CS4.

I liked Total Drama Island. Action however could use some improvement in the writing department.

And as for ATHF - I don't know, but I used to have the DVD set & the first disc of the first volume had the first draft of the first episode available to watch.  The black in the characters were see-through, like in a GIF.  Does that explain it?

The Colon Movie for Film for DVD however, showed some pre-images, that were drawn & animated by hand.

They are made in some sort of animating program that professionals use. All the models are drawn from hand, lined and colored via computer and animated. Part of the gimmick with ATHF is that it's supposed to look like crap and isnt exactly the best in animation. However, these are the same guys who wrote for SGC2C so they are probably using the same program to do their stuff.

Either way, no. They don't use flash from what I can tell.

I don't like it when older cartoons that are still going (i.e The Simpsons, Spongebob) make the transition from hand-drawn to flash.  Especially when you're watching multiple seasons of a show at once.  It also seems the show's overall nature changes a bit when the animation does, too.

I heard that that is one of the last shows to still use hand painted animation cells, is this true?

Yes.  That's also true for Mission Hill.  (Which is my favorite show ever to be on Adult Swim...that, or Home Movies)

When I buy something on ebay, thinking that it was a good price, then I find the same thing somewhere else for much less.
Makes me head-desk so many times.

Or when you buy a disc game on ebay thinking it comes in the box, but you only get the disc in the mail. You go back ready to give some bad feedback, but first decide to re-read the auction and then realize what an idiot you are, even though the picture the seller uses shows the game in the original box with artwork. I've done this twice with GC games.
