My house is the opposite. My dad and grandparents ALWAYS have shoes on, and my dad can't stand to see me barefoot. He'll compromise for socks. I think I'll end up doing the remove shoes thing at my first place, not only to keep everything clean, but also because I don't like wearing shoes to begin with.

I went to my first metal concert.

It was so loud, I couldn't even tell what music they were playing.

I kinda expected this, & I guess all these years I didn't miss much.

I've gone to my fair share of metal concerts, and one thing I learned is if you can't tell what music they are playing, that means the amplification & mixing are utter shite. Concert audio done right is an awesome experience.

Jedi I've seen two of those bands live and they sound sucked horribly. I don't like those bands anyway, but metal bands cand and often do sound great live. I saw Iron Maiden recently and they sounded better than on the album, same can be said for Dream Theater.
