All Nintendo released games had the FMC code, most likely for FaMiCom.  Konami games were KDS, probably Konami Disk System.  Bandai was BAN.  Imagineer was IMA.

Yeah, each company had their own two or three letter code before the game or product number. I had figured out what most of them meant, but when it came to FMC, I wasn't sure. It doesn't make sense to me why Nintendo could continue using the HVC code for disk system games.

Anyone know about TPE?

I came across another code: FSC. Anyone know what that might stand for? It's on a Golf US Course Tournament poster I've got.

It looks like Nintendo used three codes for it's Famicom-related stuff: HVC, FMC, and FSC.

Updated the list. If you've got something we don't, please contribute. If you know what FSC stands for, share.

I'll happily contribute. I just have to make a mental note to update this with my list of product codes.

HVC-001 TPE is the code on my Taiwanese Famicom, which I believe is an official product.

I know I'm bumping an old thread, but I found this in the pinned lists thread.

Does anyone know why Doraemon has an HVC code?  Most of the other games that have the code were either developed or published by Nintendo.
