cloverfield

What did you think of cloverfield? I thought it was pretty good. The girl I went with got sick watching it though. Apparently a lot of people did. there were people throwing up in the bathrooms and everything. I guess the whole swinging camera got the best of them, haha. :P

Yeah I didn't see any people throwing up but I felt great after the movie.

Today I had a day off work and relaxed by watching 2 episodes of Columbo.
"Candidate for Crime" & "Double Exposure"

AVP 2. What a load of shit that was.  I still can't believe they actually allowed the viewers to witness a chest burster ripping out of a 10 year old kid and a pregnant woman during scenes-no morals at all.

20th Century Fox should of let Ridley Scott or James Cameron direct the franchise.  Obviously the director did not read the comics or the books!!!  They really screwed-up the AVP legacy.  ALIENS will always be the best film out of the lot.
Plant you, feed you, grow you like a flower, like NINTENDO now you're playing with power!!

My friend spent some time in Germany and said you guess have crappy TV, and some old American stuff, like Columbo. Don't you all really love that Baywatch dude? :)

manuel

German TV gets crappier all the time. :o
Really nothing interesting on any more.
When there's a good movie it's packed with an hour of commercials.  >:(

I wish they'd show Columbo more often. They don't, so I watch the DVDs.

Oh, and the Baywatch dude... he isn't really THAT popular in Germany. Must be some modern urban legend. *seriously*

Why is all german tv synchronosized?
for example the a-team. I heard from a german carpenter a couple of times ago that home alone is called in germany Kevin allein zu Hause. Is this right?  :o
Intergalactic cat says: Is this planet Earth?

manuel

Germans don't understand English and they don't want to read subtitles. That's why everything is dubbed in German.

Home Alone is indeed "Kevin allein zu Haus". Home Alone 2 is "Kevin allein in New York".

133MHz

I have seen Mr. Bean before with German subtitles :P.
