Welllllll.........
Pirated converters are kinda hard to find..in the U.S, that is...
Pirated converters are...well..pirated, so they don't have a 100% success rate like the Stack-Up ones do because the Stack-Up ones are made by Nintendo themselves..
Also I'll bet this was cheaper than any pirated converter because I got it in a pawn shop for 50 cents :D

Plus Gyromite and Stack Up are pretty shitty games.

I couldn't play Stack-Up to save my life, and Gyromite is kind of a nice game, about the same fun as Wrecking Crew and it has a cool gimmick...it was one of the first games for the NES, so you can't expect to much ;)

SMB, Donkey Kong, 10 Yard Fight, Duck Hunt, Excite Bike, Ice Climber, Kung Fu, and Wild Gunman beg to differ.

Hey now, Gyromite is a good puzzle game.  Stack Up isn't without its merits, but, unlike Gyromite, it's pretty much unplayable without ROB.

Tupin

Hmm, I really wouldn't have ruined a Stack-Up cartridge because of its rarity, especially since you can open them with a flat-head screwdriver.

Gyromite is fun if you can play with a friend.

If I had a ROB they'd be cool, but otherwise they suck imo.

Just used a black box converter to play Popeye's English Game. All I had to do was flip it around and jam it into the cart.

I'm using a Retro Duo, so it was easy for it to work. I'm still using my pirate converter for Famicom games, though.

nintendodork

Ok, I got it into the other side, and Hades was right all along...I was just being a wimp :D
It feels like it mangles the pins almost, but I don't see any damage anywhere...
But nonetheless, pulling carts OFF is a PIA, so any ideas on how to make/install a proper ribbon/wire/string/etc

Just wondering... Is there a special reason why you use a stripped Stack-Up cart.
Why don`t use a cartridge/converter like this ??

The Stack-Up converter contains a legitimate Nintendo Lockout chip instead of a Lockout killer circuit like most pirate converters. This means instant bootup!

Well... that's a reason

Get a top loader, problem solved.

Or cut Pin 4 from the CIC inside the console.

Tjibynn

Ok..now i know.
but my "pirate" converter are always workiing fine for me, so I stuck up with them....
