Rebuilt a non working fruit machine into a working arcade machine. Got a working arcade board from a friend, and you can try to guess what game it was :-)

I just came back from Dave & Buster's. There were a bunch of games I didn't know existed, like Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition, Luigi's Mansion Arcade, and Mario Kart Arcade GP.

I played some Mario Kart. ;D I didn't think about recording anything, but here's some footage if you want to see gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzExXEjY44U

I moved house!  Very stressful but I have a lot more space now - the collection has been moved all into one dedicated office / man cave and now begins the sorting and reducing of it all...

What the hell is that?!

A cartridge opener?

Wow a Famicom cartridge opener! Everyone should have one of those!

I bought an external CD drive and downloaded EAC to get better CD rips (and use AccurateRip to verify it), only to find out that my internal CD drive not only still worked during the set up phase, but was also the recommended drive of the two.

MaxXimus

Don't you love feeling like you wasted some money? Are you still keeping the external?

I got up about 10 minutes go (5:15am) and am just getting ready for work.

Jedi Master Baiter

I'm keeping the external; I forgot how using my Toshiba laptop's CD drive is a disturbing experience: when inserting the CD, it makes a noise that sounds like it's clamping/crushing the CD, then the drive itself makes so much noise, you hear that instead of the music/movie, and to make matters worse, EAC puts lots of stress on the drive by having it run and reread sectors for long periods of time, so it's even louder, and to add to that, it's now making a weird scraping sound as if the CD is scraping against something. :-\

Yeah, no. :blinky: (<- that's not Blinky, that's a screencap of my face)
