Blue Protoman

Hmm...  Do all Famiclones support the same Minwa adapters you have?

Yup, they all work with 9V DC negative tip.

Negative tip?  I know nothing about electricity.

"Tip" refers to the center (inside) conductor of the adapter's plug (the part that goes into the Famicom). Therefore, negative tip means that the center conductor (the tip) carries the negative pole, and thus the outside conductor (the ring) carries the positive one. This is what you want for a Famicom and its clones, not the other way around.

The tip polarity is marked by a symbol printed on the AC adapter's label. The following pic (which I made in 2007) should tell you what to look for:

So in order to get a Famicom-compatible adapter, it must say Output: 9V DC (actually anything between 9 and 12 will work) and carry the Negative Tip symbol on its label.

Declared my MythTV box officially undead.

Pulled the box out of my entertainment center and booted up a GParted LiveCD.  My root partition had all kinds of issues.  GParted was able to fix that up in under a minute.  Rebooted and it's back up to its (lackluster) self.  I still want to scrap Mythbuntu and start over, but I just don't have the time to deal with it.

That diagram is neat. I learned something new today. ;D

Opened a gift from my brother and his wife.  They couldn't be here last weekend, so I got it this weekend.  I got a card with $40 in it, and my brother's friend threw in the first issue of Nintendo Power!  If anyone knows, what's the difference between the Premiere Issue of NP, and the July/August 1988 issue?  The Premiere Issue is actually a little longer than the official first issue.  I have both, but I haven't actually done a side-by-side comparison, since it seems the difference would be something minor somewhere in the middle of the magazine.

...It better be a pretty damn big confinement space.  Cats aren't animals that should be confined in a small place.  Also, did he just all of a sudden start using the bathroom all over you're house?  You may wanna get him checked out at a vet if he keeps doing it.
