Went to Radio Shack to buy some replacement parts for my famicom... They didn't have the right things so I guess I'll just have to order them online :/

What replacement parts are you looking to buy?

133MHz informed me that I will need:

  • 7805 Voltage Regulator IC

  • 1000µF 16 or 25V Electrolytic Capacitor

A 16 or 25V cap may be hard to find at Radio Shack, but they should have 35V. I know they have the 7805 vr, I just bought one there. Check a couple different Radio Shacks or just order from their website.

I saw their 1000µF 35V cap, but I didn't go for it. I'm not too savvy with electrical components yet, so I try to keep things as precise as possible.

I found these, however:

Those will work. The 7805 is a lot cheaper on the Electronic Goldmine site, too.

Bought a nice car CD radio.
The official CD radio was crappy so we left it out, saved 21000 Yen on the new car and bought one with mp3/wma support and a USB connector for 9800 Yen.

MS-DOS4

Mm.. I have a question about that. Is Japan inflated or something? It seems odd to have all those extra zeros.

I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

Actually 100Yen is now 0.9$. The $ is pretty weak against the Yen at the moment.

MS-DOS4, just think about the Yen as a "cent". 100$ are 10000 cents, right? In Japan, there's just no bigger unit than Yen, which makes the prices seem bigger.
There's s sub-unit called "Sen" (100Sen = 1 Yen), but this is only very rarely used in the stock market and such.

I just hacked Pilotwings so now you can hear Skydiving at the beginning of the song, finally.
