Dug through garbage trying to look for a receipt my mom threw away. It was for a Wii remote battery pack that doesn't seem to hold a charge.

I couldn't find it.

If you paid with a credit or debit card, a store can usually pull up your transaction and print you a new receipt.     I've had to do this before.

Edit: Or, a lot of stores will let you do an exchange or give you store credit if you don't have a receipt, but have original packaging.
