Which console by Nintendo do you consider your favorite of all time as of 2009?

Famicom
Super Famicom
N64
Gamecube
Wii

I'm sure this will be hard for everybody who has experienced all of these so believe me when I say I know how hard it is to narrow it down... but let's see if we can.
Now you're playing with Power

I can't decide between NES and SNES, both of them mean so much to me.

Strangely enough, I had to vote SUPER FAMICOM
even though I have more games on the AV Fami
in my collection.  As far as Nintendo systems go
NCL got everything right with the SFC/SNES, and
in my opinion, I don't think they've ever done it right
since... same thing with SEGA and their Mega Drive.

SUPER FAMICOM all the way on this one.
Gaming peaked in the 8-Bit & 16-Bit eras...
all else is just rehashes and insanity passing
itself off as "gaming."

/\ I can only think of about 4 must own SNES games (Chrono Trigger perhaps being the top SNES game IMO), and could rattle off over 100 NES games that I consider must own without even having to think, so Famicom easily gets my vote.

The NES/Famicom is by far the best console ever, from any company.

The Famicom is my fav and always will be. It was the pioneer and had an amazing library!

SFC.......................hands down, everything since has been a let down >:(
The GC had it's moments............but the N64 and Wii are just unbelievably poor!

This was indeed a tough call.
There are many good games for the NES/Famicom, and many for the SNES/SFC....
though I could think of more titiles for the NES/Famicom than the SNES/SFC. There are a handfulf of games that I recommend for the SNES, but more for the NES. The NES/Famicom has the larger library of the two as well... though the SNES has more RPG games in it at the moment.

The Gamecube was fun, but I cannot think of too many that are MUST plays that you can't get elsewhere. Eternal Darkness, and the RE remake are pretty sweet. Zelda of course. Metroid Prime is alright. I don't have the largest cube, or N64 library, so perhaps my vote is skewed a bit more than it would be otherwise?

One piece of info is wrong in your post.
The SFC has more games than the Famicom (around 200 more).

Oh...wow.  This had me look at your age.  Didn't think you were 13.  I really don't know how I would view the NES/Famicom if I didn't get one when I was 5 (still have the exact same system with no problems (though it could use a new 72 pin as it only works with Game Genie attached).

Well, I played the NES when I was young(er).  My brother is 27 as of today ;D So he and I played the NES soon after I got the N64.  I remember watching him play the NES before the N64 came out, but I never played it until I was 4 or 5.  So I pretty much alternated from that point .

Then, when I was about 9 or 10, I realized Japan had something way better...

I wanted it.
