OK I see wat you mean about original hardware taking you back.  I just meant in terms of actual execution the wii runs N64 games better with definite visual improvement in colours and crispness.

The Wii controller is actually quite NES like, plus you can get a cube to nes controller   but yeah, I think the Famicom controller is the way they should be played - the shape of the thing makes it comfy to have your fingers where the L and R buttons would be if they were there and the NES controller doesn't have that..

In my case, I collect NES games, so if I got a Wii and downloaded them, then wtf would be the point?  Without having the actual cartridge and system at hand, I feel at a great distance from a game and have a hard time getting into them--particularly important with RPGs.  I actually feel more a part of NES RPGs than I do with any system afterwards...when the graphics look real, all my imagination goes out the window and I don't feel as though I'm playing a game.  To go even further, just reading a book without so much as a picture is more engaging than a modern game.

Because they already made a SFC controller...and now Nintendo probably thinks it would be stupid to make a Famicom controller...

I don't notice a change in either of those when I play N64 games on the Wii.  They look exactly the same to me.  Plus, it took me a little while to get used to the classic controller in an N64 game...it's just weird..
