I think he was talking to Dante Vale.  It would seem that Dante's Gamars thing is more rare than the TriStar, seeing as I've never heard of it before.

The Gamars unit isn't rare. I have one of those, and I got it for $45 off craigslist. I have seen them before and they are not sold for not much more than that.

Well opinion could be different since i bought it from Hong Kong. The damn thing kinda costly getting it from there. You're lucky to get it in US i guess already minus off the shipping.

I think this stuff is pretty rare, regardless of what certain individuals may have payed for theirs. Let's not forget also that if you may see numerous copies of something for sale overseas, it doesn't mean it's suddenly a common item for buyers over here, let alone something that should come cheap just because others say they've seen it all over.

And Dante has a point too. I just got something from Hong Kong and shipping was a pain in the ass. Very expensive :/

So, is this Tri-Star the American version or Japanese?....I have the Japanese, but I know a source of where to find the American model brand new for the same price....
It is an ok item but has it flaws...To begin with, the SNES side has an old video encoder and encoded incorrectly too.So, while playing the SNES, there is this shitty video noise going through the screen at all times....I myself tried to fix the encoding, but in the end I completely romoved the stock encoder and installed a superior CxA1645m....For the N64 Side, the audio is quite low...And surprisingly, the Fc side is good, but with a shitty cartridge connector....Another overrated, overpriced Chinese clone really....
