Just because something is older than you doesn't make it retro.  I don't think systems like the PS or the Dreamcast will be considered retro for a long time.

once again, It may have looked like I implied Dreamcast & N64 were retro but I didn't.
I grew up on NES & COLECOVISION for the first 6 years of my life, then N64 and back for the next 7 years of my life, I really don't get why SNES isn't retro all of a sudden, Everyone I know considers it retro... I really don't know what else to say, I grew up on these consoles and still use them over the new ones big time, I know my history... I don't know what else to say...
Consoles I own (by Generation):

1st: N/A 2nd: Colecovision 3rd: Game Boy Pocket 4th: Game Boy Color, SNES 5th: N64, N64DD, PS1 Sega Saturn  6th: Xbox, 2 Gamecubes, Dreamcast, PSP, DS 7th: Wii, Xbox 360, Ps3

Ok I will be doing a review, of Pao Ching Tien. I will send it to JC when i'm done. Hopefully I can type it up next week!

Hello,

I was wondering if you would like me to do more reviews of some games.

I can do the following games since I own them:
Super Mario 1, 2, and 3
Zelda 1 and 2
Mario Bros
Balloon Fight
Popeye
and Thunderbirds.

Just let me know if you would like me to do a review of any of these and which one you need. I have the free time on my hands to sit down and do this review on a nice schedule of 2, maybe 3 a month.

You should do Thunderbird because its more obscure than the others.

I'd like to write a review sometime too.  I just don't know what game or if it'd be any good.  I really like writing though, so maybe I should give it a shot.

Thunderbirds it is. I would still like to do the other ones I listed, especially the zelda games.

And Nintendodork, you should definitely do it. If I can write a review that was good enough to be posted, I think anyone can.

Bump

Hey guys. I've really been behind getting ready to transfer colleges while still being heavily involved in college. That being said with the way my schedule is now with work, I hope to finish it before Father's Day in June. I do have the Thunderbird cart and I could supply screenshots the "cheap" way by using my dsi xl camera.

I can do even more reviews in the summer. One idea I have is, would it be possible to host multiple reviews for a single game? One reviewer may not be able to tell the whole story about a game, so more reviews may be needed to contribute to the big picture.

Just an idea because I have guys that want to help me with the zelda reviews and give their expert-like input.

JC has said the reviews are "living documents", but I'm not entirely sure what he means by that (ie, correcting facts is obvious, but correcting opinion?).

I'm not necessarily against multiple reviews, but I'm not sure how it would fit into our site, layout-wise.  And I can assure you our backend, as it is now, has absolutely no support for it.

Rob64

I'm not sure what that means either. But if it can't work, it can't work. In terms of lay out, probably what could be done is you click on a game, and it has the facts (release date, publisher, etc) and links for separate reviews by each reviewer.

Not correcting opinion but a review might read: "Some people think it's cool Bart wears shorts. Others think he should wear pants."

Just wondering..  I couldn't find the reviews, am I blind / looking in the wrong place, or are they gone now?
GRRR!

Thanks!  Can we still submit new ones too?
GRRR!

UglyJoe

Absolutely!  They have to follow the same format as the existing ones, though.  You can send reviews to me at uglyjoe@famicomworld.com (and send me a PM, too, since I forget to check that account from time to time).
