Yes of course.
Actually the first time ever I beat it was without warps, basically because I didn't know about them. No internet with youtube videos and gamefaqs walkthroughs available...

JC

Nice poll. Probably never beaten it because I get bored after a little while. I should try someday.

Of course I did many many times especially when it was the only game I had back in the day for like two years! I also beat it sitting upside down...

I consider beating SMB1 without warps a rite of passage for retro gamers. I've beaten it on the NES, Gameboy Color and SNES. SMB2J on the other hand.......I've never even beaten it period.

As many around here, I've beaten SMB without warps back in the day and I can still do it.
I've beaten SMB2j without warps and even worlds A-D on the SNES, but on the FDS I've only finished the first 9 worlds without warping, still missing like 5 stars to unlock the letter worlds.

MS-DOS4

Never been able to beat SMB1 period. I get too bored and turn it off around world 5.  :-\

Never beaten it without warps.  I'm actually quite awful at Mario games.

DDCecil

Yes, lots of times. I did it again recently for a contest over at Digital Press.

I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat
