Yup.  The reason those adapters are in there is so they can be played on the NES and nothing more.

Pliers are your friend.  If you just want it for the game, just take some pliers, and pull out what's inside if that's the case.

Nah man You really have to take all the solder off the converter. and it has to be CLEAN I tried it one time with a noname pirate and it didnt work out. You can try it but you will probably waste pirate and have no working converter to show for it.

It's not the converter he's after.  If the only thing he wants is the Famicom board, then it doesn't matter what happens to anything else inside.

I always waned a couple NES bootlegs. Not really willing to spend more than $10-$15 shipped though so probably not going to happen unless some is feeling generous.
