idk either Eastern European of some sort, like Croatian, or Northwest Asian, such as Armenian or Azerbaijani. Don't take that wrong though, I didn't mean any offense.

Maybe I should research my heritage a bit more?

From my mother's side I know that the line goes back to at least the start of the 17th century in the area my family still lives.

My father's side I could trace back until the early 1800s, too.

I'm quite 100% German it seems.

You shouldn't always expect everybody to have the same knowledge as you do.
My musical taste might be different from yours.
I think I know a lot of people you never even heard of, but still I don't expect you to do so.
