I recently got a AV Famicom, and a Yobo branded adapter for my NES games. Unfortunately, all the adapter does is smell funny. So now I'm looking to buy an adapter that works.

Anyone got one available, or have any experience with this type: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170482309071&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2439wt_1165

Contact The Uninvited Gremlin.  I don't know if he still has any, but I bought one from him for $15 and I couldn't be happier with it.
I like to glitch old VHS tapes and turn them into visuals for live music events. Check out what I'm working on - www.instagram.com/tylerisneat

I unfortunately ran out of those adapters, you bought my very last one I had. I wish I had more because they were really nice quality.
I have a personal use one and thats all.

Sorry, everyone.

The Yobo adapters are terrible, though. I had one and it barely worked. I got a Family Converter from michaelthegreat a couple of years ago and it works fine.

That's precisely where I got the one I have now. I've tried it on another machine, and it works there, so it seems that it's a problem with the AV Famicom and the Yobo adapter specifically.

I bought a Yobo adapter from StoneAgeGamer.

It was brand new sealed in plastic. And it did NOT work right out of the box.

However, I was trying it on my Penguin Famiclone so I figured it was just a compatibilty problem. But from what it sounds like, a lot of people are having reliability issues with those.

I still have some of those cheap ones at 3 for $12 shipped to US or Canada. They look like these:
