Ah. and the reason why ロックマン has the ッ is because the "ck" in "Rockman" is pronounced the same? c = ku, k = ku, so therefore ック...making it in romanji, Rokkuman? What about the double letter line that is more commonly used? Could it also be ロクーマン? Something tells me no, that would be instead, Rokuuman right?

kite200

the bar is for long vowel not double consonant
ステキ

okay, translation of these two in both Japanese and English please:

I know one of them translates as Hissatsu Doujou Yaburi by the very small hiragana written in.

JC

Sorry to jump in the middle of this one, satoshi, but I need this confirmed: HERE. I think it's Super Lode Runner -- at least that's how the pic saves.

I'll do what I can:

Reigen Doushi
霊幻道士
Released on the NES as Phantom Fighter, but that's not a literal translation.

---

Hissatsu Doujou Yaburi
必殺道場破り

Not sure what the best "translation" would be, but here's a breakdown:

    *  必殺 【ひっさつ】 (n) certain kill; ED
    * 道場破り 【どうじょうやぶり】 (n) challenge another training group and defeat each member; ED

thanks for the help uglyjoe. The most important part is to get the japanese correct so I can list it. The English is just for my own memory for when people come over ansd see my Famicom games and ask what the hell it means  ;D

So how about for 必殺道場破り

I call it in english:

Definite Killer: the challenge of rivals?

manuel

That would not quite be it. I think it's near impossible to translate that title into incisive English.
A "dojo" is, as you may know" a type of fighting school you could say. There are rivaling dojos and when one challenges another and defeats it completely you call that literally a dojo yaburi (yaburi=destruction).
You can see that in (old) Kung Fu movies a lot.

Hello everyone at Famicomworld.com!
(Sorry for my English, and yeah i do suck at MS Paint  :D)

I had remembered 3 Famicom games that i've played but i have little clues about them.  :-\
(I played them  when i was 7) I'll try to describe everything at my best.  ;)
At the 3 games you walk from the left of the screen to the right (Sidescroller? :P)

1.) You are a boy with a blue helmet (American football helmet maybe?) and at the intro
you are standing in front of a big door (Castle  or a mounth maybe?) and at the first map, you have to walk throught at a carnival. (You can kick balls too maybe?) I

2.) You are with a bunch of cats, that has weapons like umbrella, and ninja sword.
3.) You are with a monk (A guy in grey robes) and you are wandering in a castle (?) and you can
punch (Throw blue fireballs maybe?) and you can go with another guy in golden armor
(Knight maybe?). In the front of the game's casette there is a castle at the background, and a knight in the foreground, with thunders and clouds surrounding the castle.

I know I've played the first one.  I can find it later if I go through my roms.  The second one sounds like Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (Samurai Pizza Cats).  The third one...I have no idea  ;D

TankeRka

Hey UglyJoe!

Thx for the tip it was really Samurai Pizza Cats!
Look how silly i am i forgot about the animated series too. :P

UglyJoe

Ok, the first one is Doki Doki Yuuenchi.  There's actually a review of it on FW:

TankeRka

Oh my God!
Thank you for bringing good old memories back! :)
We just need to solve the last one.  ;D

JC

The last one sounds like CastleQuest, but I don't know for sure since I've never played it.

TankeRka

Nope, it's not CQ. It had very nice graphics, and hard gameplay if i remember correctly. And the main character that you were controlling was bigger than the one in CQ.
