Can I get a rough translation please? I'd like to know what the story is so I can reproduce it on the back of the custom cover I've got planned.

manuel

Shoot the incarnation of evil, the Dragon King, with the arrow of justice!!

The monsters are waiting in a cave veiled in darkness...
Kill the Dragon King and regain the sword of Good and Evil!!

☆The far-off Dragon Mountain. A journey of difficult battles begins from there.

☆Finally it's the showdown with the Dragon! Aim for his red glowing weak point!!

A rough translation, very near to the original.
I hope you like it.
(I'll have to check this thread more often than once a week it seems...  ;) )

Thanks again manuel. You're the best ;D

I want to buy a copy of Super Famicom Wars, but the seller either cant or wont tell me anything beyond what he posted. I'm wondering if you can translate what the cart says and tell me: does this have to do with the steleview (thus making this the demo, BS Famicom Wars)?

It's just katakana.  Says "SF Memory Cassette", and also "Super Famicom" (in the upper-right).

From what I can see, it looks like you would just download games to the cart or have Nintendo Power do it somehow (mail order or mall kiosks or something).  I can find no relation between this and the Satelaview.  I think it would work just fine, but I can't guarantee it.

The page for the memory cassette dealy is archived here:

The page for SFW is here:

The cart looks like the same thing as SHVC-41 (look for it here), which is what I'm basing my assumption off of.

I'm wondering if I could get a translation of the kanji on the box of the Famicom Light Gun I bought. I'm cerious of the japanese also call it a zapper. I dont' think so, because the katakana says "gun"

The picture of the box can be found in the "At last! Famicom Light Gun!" thread.

kite200

the kanji and katakana in the bottom left says

"light gun series"

I got in a new box lot of games today and some appear to be boots but since I'm not an expert I thought I might ask you all if that's okay. (Note, this isn't the whole lot, just the ones I'm not sure of)

and here are the backs

Now I know that some are def. boots like the Super C and that cuckoo multicart at the top. That black Capcom one I'm pretty sure is a boot since it has the gator back.

antwon

All of them look like bootlegs to me,the HelloKitty one might be legit It has the familycomputer logo on the back but you never know.

FamicomFreak

awesome carts and yeah pretty much all of them are bootlegs except the hello kitty and that domino like game. Are you selling any of these? ;)

Yeah. One of these days I'll have to learn how to play so that I can play roughly one tenth of the Famicom library. :-P

Actually it's on my list of things to do before I die. That and learn Japanese.

I might. I'm not really sure. I was really bummed that the Lum no Wedding Bell (the Urusei Yatsura one in the middle) and quite possibly the Donald McDonald (McDonalds one) are boots. Still, the games are at least what I wanted, though I do want their originals someday.

Most video Mahjong games use a two-player variant of actual Mahjong (4-player) rules.  The best site I've found that explains the two-player version is here:

http://mahjonginmame.nm.ru/howto.htm
http://mahjonginmame.nm.ru/specialrules.htm

(that link is fine, but other pages on that site may be NSFW, since most arcade mahjong games involve anime girls undressing)
