Yeah, it's 蠟筆小新, the Chinese title for Crayon Shin-chan.

JC

Hmm...wonder if the game is the same as the Bandai release.

FamicomFreak

HAHAHA doesn't shin chan usually dances with his ass on the air???

I've never come across a Supertone copyright before...

Ah nice...reminds me of Sweet Home from those screenshots. Gosh, we need someone who reads Chinese so we can get translations of all these Chinese originals I'm running into -- I guess I'm assuming that's Chinese, and I hardly know the difference. But there are all those recent Chinese RPGs...

I found a rom of it.  It's a standard RPG, from what I can tell.  I couldn't get out of the first town (guards blocked the exit....talking to everyone did nothing).  You can see those huge kanji at the bottom of one of the screenshots.  That's how they do text boxes, really big kanji scrolling along the bottom.  That's probably the most unique thing about it.

I saw this auction too and I never heard of Supertone before.  At first, I was unsure if it's was an unlicensed title but the label was too well made to be a pirate. It uses the same mapper as a C&E unlicensed RPG title. The type of case if the same as TXC/Micro-Genius famicom releases.

JC

Seeing that it's S-01 and you've never seen it before, that might suggest Supertone had one and only one release, maybe an offshoot of C&E. Seems most of these companies had contact with one another and shared and stole from one another, so the borrowed cart casing, etc., doesn't strike me as unusual.

Anyone? Looks like an MD game to me, but the seller lists it as FC, so I thought I'd try:

133MHz

Weird, it even has the notch commonly found on Genesis carts.
If someone had the same bedsheets as the seller, s/he could measure them and we could know the cart's width x height and solve this mystery ::)

JC

Hmm...with the price at $.03 it might be worth buying it just to check...unless someone knows it's MD for sure...

JC

I know this is an FDS game. What's the name and was there a licensed cart version?

The game is Meikyuu Jiin Dababa. I'm not sure if there was an official cart, though.
